So a lot of people talk about diversity in the sense of having representation in the room, right? That doesn't necessarily mean that the groups within that room are talking to each other. So I like to think of UGA Law as multicultural with a bunch of different people from a bunch of different places. So it's a lot of folks like me, they were working before they were coming to law school, and it makes for a better classroom discussion, the professors really take advantage of that.

I love everything about Athens. I love the fact that you get the best of both worlds. Athens is a cute little country town, but the city, "the classic city," as people love to say, is a hidden gem. From the food to the people, culture... Everybody's a Bulldog fan, of course, but it's a great place to call home.

Being close to Atlanta, I feel, allows us to build those relationships with the different law firms up there. I know the CDO office is very good about making sure that we stay in contact with them, whether that's making sure that we know about events that different law groups put on or even having them come to the school and talk to us.

So one of the coolest things was coming to a night game here in Athens last fall. To be in there with a lot of my law school classmates, it's really cool and it takes your breath away. Because you get told, as someone who spent a lot of time in Georgia growing up, that UGA games are fun, right? That Athens is a great place. But to see it and feel it-- Totally different. You feel the electricity in the air and you really feel like the entire students behind you, regardless of political affiliation or whatever, it's... You're there for the Dogs!
